Curious about opportunities to hear Quartet 515 live? Interested in what our group is doing in the community?

As one of Central Iowa's premier string quartets, Quartet 515 can regularly be heard in the Des Moines area performing music. Our passion is creating and sharing music with this community, and we invite you to join us at one of our performances. Whether it's collaborating with local artists, playing with the Des Moines Symphony, or performing free concerts in the community, we'd love to welcome you in the audience.

Please see below for a highlight of Quartet 515's 2019 public performance schedule. Please note this does not include the various private weddings and events Quartet 515 is hired to perform.


  • Wednesday, January 16 - St. John’s Midweek Music Series, 12:05pm at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Join Quartet 515 as we perform classical and pop selections for St. John’s Midweek Music Series in downtown Des Moines.

  • Sunday, January 20 - Perry Fine Arts concert, 2pm at Perry High School. Quartet 515 is pleased to once again perform for Perry Fine Arts with a concert featuring Mozart’s iconic Eine Kleine Nachtmusik and several pop favorites.


  • Thursday, February 14 - Quartet 515 is honored to have the opportunity to perform at the Taylor House Hospice Center for UnityPoint’s annual Day of Compassion. Join us as we share our music from 4:15 - 5pm with the residents, staff, and guests of Taylor House on Valentine’s Day

  • Saturday, February 16 | Sunday, February 17 - Des Moines Symphony Masterworks 4: Nelson Conducts Bernstein. Join members of Quartet 515 for the Des Moines Symphony’s fourth masterworks concert featuring the works of Schumann, Bernstein, and Prokofiev.

  • Friday, February 22 | Saturday, February 23 | Sunday, February 24th - Drake Opera Theater presents: Falstaff, by Verdi. Performances at the Performing Arts Hall at Drake University.


  • Saturday, March 16 | Sunday, March 17 - Des Moines Symphony Masterworks 5: Ellis Island/New World. Members of Quartet 515 will perform the Des Moines Symphony’s fifth masterworks concert featuring Dvořák’s beautiful New World Symphony, as well as works by Gershwin and modern composer Peter Boyer.


  • Sunday, April 14 - Simpson College Community Orchestra Concert, 7pm at the Blank Performing Arts Center at Simpson College.

  • Sunday, April 21 - Covenant Presbyterian Church’s Easter Sunday Cantata. Quartet 515 will once again collaborate with the choir and music director at Covenant Presbyterian Church for their Easter Sunday church service.

  • Saturday, April 27 | Sunday, April 28 - Des Moines Symphony Masterworks 6: Simon Sings Porgy & Bess. Join members of Quartet 515, the Des Moines Symphony, and legendary singer Simon Estes as the Des Moines Symphony performs its sixth masterwork series featuring the works of Shostakovich, Bernstein, and Gershwin.


  • Saturday, May 18| Sunday, May 19 - Des Moines Symphony Masterworks 7: Season Finale: Bernstein’s West Side Story. Concluding the Des Moines Symphony’s 2018-2019 season will feature works by Rossini, Bernstein, Respighi, and virtuoso violinist Philippe Quint performing Korngold’s Violin Concerto.
